City of Weston Christmas Tree

The City of Weston sponsors the Christmas Lighting Decorating Contest.  The photographs of the winners are posted on the pages linked below.

See the community's lights first hand!
Just off Highway 11, look for the big

star shining above the town!

The lighting tour went very well this year.  We had about 60 people participate including a few seniors, but mostly parents and kids.  We had two trailers full of folks, five cars following and even a pony wagon, complete with Christmas lights, full of kids and driven by Jill Perrine.

The number of displays was down a little from last year, but the displays we had were all quite nice.  In only three years, Weston has become known for our lighting, which really pleases us.  (The fact that we are located in a valley works in our favor.  There are vantage points where you can view many of the displays and the town really looks lit up for the holidays.)  We had some nice comments recently from drivers trying to find their way to La Grande when the freeway was closed.

Everyone was treated to hot drinks and desserts at the Memorial Hall following the tour.

And the winners are...
